In 1977, after serving twenty years in the U.S. Marine Corps, John Sowell and his wife Shirley realized the need to supplement his retirement pay
Two children ready for college certainly reaffirmed this realization. Beginning a vending machine business out of their garage in Vista, California, the Sowell’s installed their initial machine. They waited outside for the first two quarters to drop; those two quarters now hang where most  entrepreneurs proudly display their original dollar bill. They now have full service refreshment companies in seven western states.
Each company is family owned and locally operated. The dedicated and experienced management and staff of each company are members of the local community.
They have intimate knowledge of their local market while having the full backing of the entire network of NCV REFRESHMENT SERVICES. Together these companies comprise one of the largest independently owned refreshment operations in the country.
From the first sale in 1977 to today, the standard of service remains the same; TREAT EACH CUSTOMER AS IF THEY WERE THE FIRST.
